Applications
The Viledon MaxiPleat modular filter system is used for supply, exhaust and recirculated air filtration in ventilation systems which have stringent requirements for clean air quality, particularly when space is limited, e.g.
in intake air filtration for gas turbines and compressors
in industrial processes
in sophisticated air-conditioning applications
Features
For installation, the MaxiPleat main filter (RB), with its black connecting pins, is inserted into the existing support system. The prefilter (RC) with the white connecting caps can now be simply plugged onto the already-installed main filter.
The connecting pins engaged in the main filter cannot be removed. The plugged-on prefilter can, however, be removed again and replaced.
Besides the standard version with 25 mm front frame thickness, the MaxiPleat main filters are also available with a 20.5 mm thick front frame, and are delivered with the connecting pins fitted.

Cassette filters belong to the category of depth-loading filters, just like filter mats, pocket filters and HEPA filters. Their filter media are installed in pleated form, i.e. folded. The aim of this is to achieve the largest possible filter media area. MaxiPleat cassette filters from Viledon are of a stable design, so that they ensure continuous reliable operation even under extreme conditions.
Areas of application for MaxiPleat prefilters
MaxiPleat prefilters are suitable for supply, exhaust and recirculation filtration of air handling systems with high clean air quality requirements. They are particularly convincing when installation space is limited. The prefilter (RC) can simply be plugged onto the installed basic filter with connecting pins. In this way, a further filter stage can be added without any conversions. The prefilters are used, for example, in the intake air filtration of gas turbines and compressors, in industrial processes and in sophisticated air-conditioning technology.
MaxiPleat prefilters and their advantages
MaxiPleat prefilters from Viledon can be effortlessly plugged onto the installed main filter with connecting pins. This enables an additional filter stage to be integrated without the need for conversion. The attached prefilter can be removed and replaced again without any problems. The cassette filters used as prefilters impress with their safe operation, long lifetime and high cost-effectiveness. They are also moisture-resistant up to 100% relative humidity. Another plus point is that the MaxiPleat prefilters are easy to install thanks to the clip-on system.
