Applications

The ChemWatch Online Monitoring System measures and monitors the corrosivity of air in rooms via copper and silver sensors. Corrosivity is usually caused by acid gases such as H₂S, SO₂, SO₃, Cl₂, Cl₂O, NOx, or NH₃. The online monitoring system is suitable to measure corrosive gases in the range from low ppb to a maximum of 1 to 3 ppm. The sensors are consumed as they measure the corrosivity and thus need to be replaced from time to time. The corrosion rate is determined according to ANSI/ISA-71.04-2013.
