Applications

  • Pulse-jet filter cartridges of GTB series are used for intake air filtration of gas turbines and turbo compressors at both onshore and offshore installations.

  • They are particularly suitable for predominantly dry, arid locations with high dust concentrations in the ambient air.

Features

  • High-strength blended micro-fiber nonwoven with water repellent coating that allows the cartridge to maintain excellent operational characteristics in most climatic conditions.

  • The filter media ensures high arrestance, high dust holding capacitylow average pressure drop and high cost efficiency.

  • The inner and outer support cages as well as the end base end caps are made of galvanized steel (G90 grade) or stainless steel to minimize corrosion and handling damage. All components are cast together to ensure leak-proof operation and high protection against dust penetration during pulse operation.

  • GTB cartridges have been optimized in terms of filtering area, pleat depth and number of pleats which means the active filtering area remains completely effective over its entire operating lifetime.

Contamination in gas turbines can not only affect performance, but also lead to an unexpected shutdown. Reliable protection against dust particles is therefore essential. With effective filtration through multi-stage filter systems, gas turbines are protected against contamination. The risk of dust-related damage is reduced and the lifetime is extended. Pulse-jet filter cartridges of the GTB series are particularly suitable for the filtration of dry dust. Pulse-jet systems have proven their worth in high dust concentrations, for example in desert regions.

Pulse-jet filter cartridges GTB series are equipped with resilient non-woven fabrics made of cellulose / polymer microfibres with water-repellent finish. These ensure that the excellent performance characteristics are maintained under most climatic operating conditions. The filter media achieves high separation efficiency, high dust holding capacity, low mean pressure drop and high efficiency. Leak-free inter-cast lid and base made of galvanised steel or stainless steel provide maximum protection against dust breakthrough during pulse-jet cleaning.
